The Rhode Island State Police 5K Foot Pursuit is more than just a race — it’s a community celebration! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or walking your first 5K, this event is for you. Held along scenic Narragansett Town Beach, the Foot Pursuit supports the mission and charitable work of the Rhode Island Troopers Association, helping make a positive impact throughout our state.

Registration: Online pricing available now — increases after January 30.
Packet pickup and in-person registration opportunities available the days before the race.
This year’s Rhode Island State Police 5K Foot Pursuit proudly supports Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) as a charitable beneficiary.
A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to MADD in loving memory of Casey Bassignani, the daughter of a Rhode Island State Police Captain and sister of a Rhode Island State Trooper, who was tragically killed in a car crash in November.
By participating in this event, you are not only joining a fun, healthy community gathering — you are also helping support MADD’s mission to prevent impaired driving, support victims and survivors, and save lives.
Every step taken and every donation made helps honor Casey’s memory and reinforces the importance of roadway safety, awareness, and compassion for families impacted by tragedy.
Participants and supporters will have the opportunity to contribute directly to this cause during registration or by making an additional donation.
